I have worked for Blue Chip Holidays for 9 nine years. Initially, I joined the business in the call centre where I gained great insight to our customers and their ideas for a perfect holiday. I have now progressed to managing both the Quality and Owner Services departments, and I think I am truly privileged in my role as I get to see so many our beautiful properties first hand. Outside of the office, I love to be by the seaside, and a morning run on the harbour is the only way I like to wake up and a glass of wine with a good view is the best way to end the day.

I love the local coastline, a good Dartmoor walk and pub lunch, or a potter around one of the charming towns of the South Hams.

I started working for BCH over 8 years ago, initially as part of the Bookings Team. As my experience grew, I moved into a property marketing role and headed up the Owner Services Team.

Recently, I’ve taken up a new role as Revenue and Yield Manager, allowing me to dedicate more of my time to maximising Owner Revenue by constant reviewing of our portfolio performance and pricing, against other properties in our portfolio and the wider market.

I have worked at Blue Chip Holidays for almost 7 years starting in the bookings team which gave me a real insight into understanding what’s important to our guests and owners before transferring that knowledge to my current position as Quality Programme Assessor.

Before working for Blue Chip Holidays I was a guest who stayed with Blue Chip Holidays and bought a home in Brixham with the intention of holiday letting with the company as I had such great experiences with both the properties and the customer service I received. Unfortunately, I fell in love with the town and moved into the property instead of putting the property with Blue Chip so never got a chance to let guests enjoy my little slice of heaven.

Outside of work I enjoy Kayaking, walking, live music, BBQ’s on the beach (when the weather allows) and spending time with family and friends.

Hello, my name is Gary and I am Blue Chips Portfolio Development Manager for the South Devon. I was lucky enough to grow up in Norway and have lived in close proximity to mountains or the sea ever since!

My background is in the cruise industry, adventure sport, business development and communications. I have lived and worked in Africa, NZ & OZ and South America but I adore the South West for its wild and varied geography and flourishing food and drink scene.

I relish my role in helping to grow our holiday property portfolio and working with a dedicated team who are focused on ensuring that our property owners receive excellent service, and that our guests have the most wonderful holiday experiences possible. I have an energetic young family, a boisterous Jack Russell and outside of work I can be found coaching junior rugby, gig rowing, running on the SW Coast Path, sea kayaking, stand up paddle boarding or riding my bike.

‘I call it my ‘dream job’ – out and about on sunny days, visiting all the amazing new properties featured in the portfolio. Although a relative newcomer to Blue Chip Holidays and the South West, I have been a photographer for most of my working life and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I was previously based in Turkey for over 20 years, working as a freelancer for most of the major tour operators, with assignments throughout Europe. A few years ago I made the move over to Plymouth and soon started to work together with Blue Chip, where I have been full time since September 2015. 

The work keeps me very busy, but in between I am kept equally busy as chauffeur to our teenage daughter with a busy schedule and our scruffy dog who also needs some quality walking time, and with so much choice in the South West – beach, moorland, forest, coastline… which one today?

I have been working with Blue Chip Holidays for almost two years now, starting in the Owner Services department and working specifically in account management for our Lodges & Resorts collection.

Previously, I was working in an estate agency so moving to Blue Chip Holidays seemed like a natural way to progress my career in property. I have always enjoyed visiting new places, which is probably why I have such enthusiasm of working in the tourism industry and being part of this great team.

As a Portfolio Development Manager, I hope to carry on progressing with my career, working with owners to make sure everyone gets the most out of their properties within the Blue Chip portfolio.

I8 months ago I left a 12 year career in IT recruitment to join Blue Chip Holidays, as it offered the opportunity for me to get away from sitting at a desk all day and combine my passion for property, people and the Isle of Wight. I haven’t looked back.

I thoroughly enjoy meeting prospective owners in their beautiful homes and explaining the benefits of joining our portfolio as well as keeping in contact with our existing owners to ensure that their property is performing as it should. I live in Cowes and have lived on the Island for most of my life. I really understand why our owners have chosen to own a holiday home here; less than two hours from London, the sailing, beautiful sandy beaches, fantastic coastal and rural walks, numerous music festivals, great farm shops and restaurants – what’s not to love?

I have been in my current role for almost five years now, and prior to that I had my own property with Blue Chip Holidays for holiday lettings for four years, so I very much understand the process from the owner’s point of view. I have always had a keen interest in property as an investor, and with my previous experience as a Mortgage Consultant I am able to advise our owners if need be.

I have had a passion for Cornwall for as long as I can remember, having enjoyed so many fantastic holidays here with my family before moving here from Bristol in May 2011.

I have worked at BCH for almost a year now. I came for 3 months last summer and never left! I have the enviable job of helping our guests fill their holidays with wonderful memories and luxuries whilst they enjoy precious time away. I arrange private chefs, spa treatments, delicious hampers in fact anything that helps to enhance our guests’ stay! My favourite part of the job is when I am asked to arrange flowers and champagne for a special occasion. It is a wonderful feeling to know that someone is going to have a lovely surprise when they arrive at their property!  I am originally from Birmingham, having worked for the Convention and Visitor Bureau for a number of years. I have had a range of jobs in many different fields, sales being my favourite profession so far. I have worked in a verity of sales jobs from door to door sales, to selling a verity of products at different shows and events across Australia. I have been with Blue Chip for 2 months now, I am enjoying the verity of work from administration, to dealing with owner request.

I have recently return from a year out in Australia, which involved many new and amazing experiences, like gaining my diving certificate and diving on the Great Barrier Reef. Working 88 days on a farm picking Aubergines, driving across the length of Australia and being able to surf in some of the best spots in the world are but a few.
