Woodland Cottages is a collection of four beautiful properties in the Yorkshire countryside, and we welcomed them to our portfolio in September 2014. After a strong start during their first year with us, their collective bookings almost trebled during the second.
The owner of the properties had let them through another agency in the past, but she’d found the experience disappointing.
“I started out with another agency, but when they failed to deliver the booking numbers we were promised when we signed up, I started to market the properties myself and resented being charged commission for bookings I’d sourced without help.”
After 14 years of building a reputation as the South West’s leading provider of premium holidays, we expanded into Yorkshire in 2014. We pride ourselves on our portfolio of over 1100 holiday cottages, apartments and lodges, each with something special to offer our discerning guests.

We think that local knowledge is crucial if we’re going to deliver the holidays our guests deserve and get our owners the bookings they need, so we have a locally-based Portfolio Development Manager in every region we represent.
Our PDM for Yorkshire, Jonathan Smith, grew up in the Yorkshire Dales and knows the region like the back of his hand, which means they’re the best person to answer all those questions owners have when they’re making that all-important decision of who to let their property with.

From the moment your property opens for bookings, you’ll benefit from advantages such as the fact that there’s no upfront charge for joining; and all owners receive free professional photography as well as a free quality grading. We also protect our owners against cancellations as standard, once a booking is confirmed our owners can rest assured that their agreed owner payment is secure even if the guest cancels their holiday.
As well as the skills of our in-house marketing team who’ll get every property’s page the right traffic all year round, Woodlands Cottages also receive the combined knowledge and experience of our entire team numbering over 50 employees. The property’s owner has her own Account Manager who works alongside Jonathan in managing its ongoing performance, giving a hassle free experience.
Our Owner Services team are dedicated to answering any questions our owners have throughout the year. They’re always happy to chat through any queries, offer advice or action any changes to your property’s page on our website.
